Can I take Finasteride and Spironolactone together?

I am a 56 year old woman (in menopause) with diagnosed hair loss. Finasteride seems to work better for me but my understanding is that it doesn't promote hair growth whereas Spironolactone does. I also apply Minoxidil daily.

The information you have been told or uncovered is not accurate. That is false that spironolactone promotes growth whereas finasteride does not. This statement is not supported by any study that had been conducted to date and published in the medical literature.. The reality is that both have the potential. Spironolactone does not help everyone and finasteride does not help everyone. The two can sometimes be used in combination although you will want to review all side effects of spironolactone and all side effects of finasteride. Finasteride can improve density in some women with androgenetic alopecia and the same statement is true about spironolactone.
