I'm 23 and my father had his noticeable hair loss in his early and mid 30s. Isn't it too early for level 3 ? I mean I didn't notice any symptoms and I use anti hair loss shampoo since 1.5 year.

Answer: Stage 2 - Good time to use medication for prevention Your loss is Stage 2 - best seen in the side view, where if you draw a line down from where the hair in your temples is receded back to, it meets with the back of your sideburn. If your father had hair loss in his early 30's, that is likely what you can expect as well. Unless you start some prevention strategy now, while you still have hair. Minoxidil can work for 50% of patients, and finasteride even more. We do have patients pursue surgery even at this stage, but even then the medications are the smartest way to prevent losing more hair as the future approaches. Without any treatment, we know it will progress. Medication can at least slow the loss down, and in some cases keep the amount of hair you have stable for many years.

Answer: Category 203 or hair loss In my opinion you are closer to a category 2 versus a category 3. However you can have several different doctors look at you hair and categorize you differently.

Answer: Norwood Stage Thank you for the photos. Your level on the Norwood stage is 3, but I'd say it's an early stage of level 3.That being said, I don't recommend a hair transplant for your case. It will be smarter to start a non-surgical treatment to slow down hair loss. You stated that your father also had hair loss in his early thirties. You probably might face this issue as well if you don't prevent it.Non-surgical treatments will help you prevent further hair loss, therefore, you will not lose more hair on the donor area. That way, if you get a hair transplant later, you will not have less hair in the donor area.Medications like minoxidil and finasteride will help you prevent hair loss.

Answer: Answer You are in early 3rd stage of Norwood scale. And since you have hair loss problem in your family you will be noticing difference is couple of years. What I advice is to use natural hair products rich in biotin and vitamins also to consider hair transplant as an option for your hairline.
