Hello, sorry to ask the question in this forum - I have sent to emails to my doctor to ask for his thoughts but it would appear that he can't be bothered to reply! I had approximately 4000 grafts in July 2018 (on top of SMP) and I'm unsure as to the status of my progress so far. I plan to have a 2nd procedure this year as I always knew that I would need one before going into this.

It may take 8-12 months before seeing the final results of your hair transplant surgery. If you are concerned with the density and shape, schedule an appointment with your surgeon for an exam.

Rather than just sending emails to your surgeon, you need to go in for a formal post operative follow up appointment. This way you can address all of your concerns and view the preop pictures. You can also also review the hair saving techniques that you were prescribed and make a plan for follow up surgery. Best of luck to you.

At nine months, the majority of the terminal (end growth hair) has occurred, but this varies.  Typically this is 80%, but full results may take 12 to even 15 months.  Comparing the pre op to the 9 month follow up pictures, you have had tremendous results, especially with the SMP.
