Right now I am almost 2 months post FUE. I have used a little vitamin e oil on my donor area. I was wondering if continuing vitamin e oil on my donor area, and also adding to my recipient area are recommended. Also what about using rogaine at this point? My doctor didn’t give me much aftercare last 15 days. Also I still have some slight redness (photos attached). Thank you for any help anyone can offer!
Answer: Oils, potions, shampoos, lasers, PRP, etc will not cure genetic balding. Medications such a Propecia or Rogaine can help and for some people it may delay the balding for many years. Surgery also helps but it is just rearranging what you already have. Scalp MicroPigmentation also helps but that is not real hair. The point is that every option has its limitations. Oils, potions, shampoos, lasers, PRP, etc will not cure genetic balding. It is best to contact your surgeon for post surgery care as each doctor as slightly different instructions.

Answer: 2 months post operation You can use vitamin E on your donor area, however we do not suggest it on the transplanted area. İnstead you can use hair supplements like multivitamin.

Answer: Vitamin E and Rogaine post transplant Redness, flaking and itching can occur from dryness. My guess is that if you are using vitamin E oil it won't be dry. In cases of dryness I reccomend trdeatment with Vitamin E or coconut oil. If you wish to use it, it won't hurt. As for the Rogaine you can continue to resume it. If you were on it before it will help the hairs that were there prior to the transplant but won't change anything with the transplanted hairs. You can also consider a PRP treatment! Hope that helps!

Answer: 2 months post op Hello, good question. I know you are frustrated and anxious about your results, but I don’t think you need to apply anything to either your donor or recipient area. All you really need to do it be patient and let your hair grow. You’ll need to be patient until about 8 months at which time you should see about 90% growth. Good luck to you.
