Dear WarmheartedV,I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times. For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years. In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Thanks for sharing your photos. The outcome is highly surgeon dependent. To achieve an ideal symmetry, we may need to put more filler in one region than the other for a smooth vermillion border (the red border line of the lip). The photos suggest your lip profile could be as good as the wish photos. The upper lip will get 1/3rd of the volume of dermal filler, 2/3rd being placed in the lower lip. Additionally, fat grafts for lip enhancement using your own body fat can be useful in getting longer lasting results.I hope this helps. All the best.
Hello and thank you for your question. Yes you can get close to the pictures you provided, however I will caution you to start conservatively. You don’t want to do too much and regret it, so start slow and add more if required, Best wishes.Dr. T
Your lower lip results can be as good as your wish pictures but I would be careful pushing that much volume on your upper lip. Results are highly operator dependent.I recommend staying conservative with upper lip augmentation placing at least 2/3 of the volume in the lower lip and 1/3 in the upper lip Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
Thanks for the question. You should be able to get lip filler with a prior history of allergy to dermatographia. Skin allergy to dermatographia does not imply an allergy to lip injections. Dermal fillers like injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) are well tolerated as HA is a normal component of the...

If you have used diazepam in the past for anxiety then it is fine to use it prior to your lip injections. I recommend discussing it with your injector prior to your appointment. Often times injectors will use numbing creams prior to treatment to make you more comfortable.
