I'm going in for a liposuction revision after my BBL. I'm gonna lipo tummy, thighs and love handles since this was done poorly the first time. As you can see I have a lot of dents and irregularities despite stable weight. Do I need to do a second round BBL or is it possible to "fill" in the dents with fat to make my ass look fuller and rounder (I don't want it bigger). And if I only fill in with fat, how long do I have to wait before I can sit- same as a BBL?I also have banana rolls, would it be a good idea to liposuction this area too or will my butt drop? I've seen mixed recommendations from doctor saying lipo of banana rolls is not a good idea and your ass will drop.
Answer: Second BBL or just fill in dents? This is one instance where fat transfer is a relatively good idea, that is, to fill in some “dents” only. If you stop and think about it for a second, your first round BBL catch to this point with the irregularities/dance so the second round may just lied to the same or more. Based upon your particular type of banana roll, doing liposuction of it is indeed high risk for making it worse and losing support for the lower butt-thigh junction which often leads to drooping of the buttock cheek. Hope this helps.

Answer: Should I get a second BBL or just fill in the dents? Would banana roll lipo be a good idea or will my butt drop? You maybe a good candidate for fat transfer. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon for a proper evaluation.

Answer: BBL revision Dear sloppyfish, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. Based on your photosd, it looks like you might benefit from liposuction and fat transfer to improved dents. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Correcting dense after BBL I don’t think you’re going to find that adding fat is going to correct your dents. These are a form of cellulite and I caused by connective tissue bands that don’t stretch. They anchor the skin to the underlying muscle fascia. As volume is added they pull on the skin causing indentations. A BBL procedure can make this worse. Generally the correct treatment for this is the procedure called Subsicion in which case adding small amounts of fat or filler at the same time is appropriate. Best of luck with your upcoming procedure. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: BBLs and Banana Roll Based on your pictures, you are an excellent candidate for a second BBL to revise the results of the first. You do require liposuction of the banana roll and then Renuvion treatment to tighten the skin. The optimal BBL outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully, Arian Mowlavi MD, FACS Realself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
