Before you consider doing the same thing again but expecting a different outcome I would strongly recommend you consider buttock implants to give you a more reliable and permanent rounded buttock projection. Glad to be of help.
Hello, thank you for your question. It is hard without proper photos, the buttocks can be reshaped with a combination of liposuction and fat grafting to that area. I recommend you schedule an email, Skype or in-person consultation for proper evaluation.
Dear Queendrea_v,Based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a BBL. Liposuction of your abdomen, back and flanks should give you more curves and hourglass shape and fat transfer to buttocks should give you more projection. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
There are absolutely limitations when it comes to the BBL: 1) does the patient have a small waist (under their excess fat) to help create the dramatic look of a tiny waist next to a bubbly butt 2) Does the patient have enough fat for the fat transfer but not too much that they are left "fat" after the max amount of lipoaspirate is removed (here in TX this is 5L in one setting) 3) What is the starting shape and projection of the patient's buttocks - if the butt is negative or totally flat, this is very different than if a patient has some projection and an overall nice shape and just needs to be a little bigger 4) the skin envelope of the buttocks - is the skin tethered and tight or is it loose 5) Lastly ~30-50% of the fat is lost in the first 3-6 months after surgery, and we have no control over the distribution of how this happens, which can lead to a final shape very different from what you or your doctor hoped for. All of these things are taken in to consideration along with the "wish" look of the patient when we decide if they are a good candidate.
With only the one photo, it's difficult to make an accurate assessment. You'll need a proper consult to create a game plan for your revision. Revisions are doable, and quite common to perfect results, but are a bit trickier due to scar tissue that may have formed, so you'll want to make sure you find a top-of-the-line surgeon. Additionally, you'll need to communicate with your surgeon exactly the look you're going for -- I have found that the Buttock Assessment tool I developed has greatly streamlined communications regarding desired outcomes with my patients. If you are a good candidate for a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) revision, the optimal outcomes are achieved with: 1) use of VASER liposuction to harvest the fat, 2) a closed looped system such as Puregraft to process the fat, and 3) strategic micro-packet transplant technique. These three processes have demonstrated over 95% fat graft take. This means that your results will be stable as long as you maintain your weight. As an official VASER trainer, I am routinely referred unhappy BBL patients. One of the most common reasons for disgruntled BBL patients is that patients are not able to accurately communicate their desired buttocks goals to their surgeons. A buttocks assessment tool can be an invaluable tool to communicate to your surgeon the exact buttocks size and shape you are desiring. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a BBL specialist can help you get an accurate recommendation and pricing. Respectfully,Arian Mowlavi MD,FACSRealself 100 Hall of Fame Inductee
The truth is fat transfer is better at adding volume then creating shape. Your bottom has nice curves from your pictures. There are too many variables to give you an accurate assessment. You need to show before and after pictures etc. etc. which aspect do you think does not have curves? Posterior or lateral? Follow up with your provider. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
This is a problem that occurs when too much fat is placed in the Buttock with fracturing of the connective tissue and loss of support. The butt essencially blows out. In addition, failure to graft the outer thighs and posterior thigh creates an “ant” deformity.Because the skin has been stretc...
There are several ways to address cellulite depending upon depth of cellulite, location, elasticity of overall skin envelope, and subcutaneous fat layer. There is no uniformly successful method for treating it. My practice is now using BodyTite, a non-invasive procedure, that requires no down...
About 75% of my practice is revision surgery on patients from other PSs. Some patients will benefit from liposuction of the upper pole of the buttock with fat transfer to the middle.
