Is lipo after a kidney transplant possible?

If you are otherwise healthy with a BMI approaching 30, you might be a candidate for lipo with medical clearance from your transplant surgeon and nephrologist.  Without knowing the current kidney function and medical assessment, an informed response cannot be offered.

As long as you are cleared for elective surgery by you transplant team you are safe. Keeping imuno-suppressant medications to a necessary minimum will provide smooth recovery and eliminate healing issues. Good luck.

Thanks for your question. Just like your previous surgery you should get clearance from your transplant team, but if you are still in similar health I would expect they would give clearance. Obviously nothing substitutes for an in-person consultation & evaluation by a board-certified plastic surgeon.

Consider getting assessment if Liposuction is appropriate. For someone who has serious medical conditions plastic surgeons should have a higher threshold.
Can similar results be obtained through changing lifestyle and losing weight?
Talk to board certified plastic surgeons about your candidacy for Liposuction.
Talk to your nephrologist about getting clearance for your kidney.
