Can I put fillers to fix it and how long do I have to wait?
Answer: Injectable fillers may be considered when your lip becomes soft after healing. Based on your before and after photos, it's not clear why you had Silicone removed from your lips. After your lip reduction scars are healed from removal of permanent filler, Volume replacement may be considered depending on your examination. Wishing you easy recovery. Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Can fillers fix lip irregularities and asymmetry after silicone lip implant removal? The answer depends on how long since surgical removal of silicone implants. In the short term (within the first 3-6 months) it would be advisable to allow healing to occur. As healing occurs, the swelling and asymmetry may improve without intervention. If asymmetry or contour irregularities persist beyond this time, there are several options available, such as autologous fat transplant and hyaluronic acid fillers, that may yield temporary (or even permanent) improvement.

Answer: Lip augmentation Dear vivilove87, I perform a lot of lip injections with fillers such as juvederm and it works great. Many times I need to put more in one side than the other to attempt to even out the vermillion border (The red line of the lip). This helps provide more symmetry at times. For patients looking for a more long lasting result, I recommend fat grafting. That is, using your own bodies fat to make your lips naturally look more shapely. The bonus is that the results last many many years. In general, I avoid using permanent prosthesis because I find that the lips are such dynamic and sensitive structures, the end result is not natural. Answer: Lip filler is the answer after lip silicon is removed! Thinking of having lip filler treatment following silicon removal? The answer is yes, yes, yes! Hyaluronic acid fillers are much safer, more predictable and FDA approved. So go and get your beautiful lips with hyaluronic acid fillers like Versa, Restylane and Juverderm. And if fillers aren't giving you what you need, then look into a lip lift procedure.
