Hello and thank you for your qudstion. It is a good idea to wait until after pregnancy to do any fillers, Botox or even laser treatments. Although there are no supporting studies to prove or disprove the dangers of cosmetic treatments during pregnancy, it is strongly advised against due to the small chance that you have a complication and will thus need medical intervention that could harm the fetus. Best of luck.
Dear Mrs Mar, I would advise waiting until after your pregnancy to obtain a lip augmentation with fillers. Technique is key when it comes to lip injections, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
It is generally recommended to not have any elective cosmetic procedures, including lip fillers, while being pregnant. This is just out of an abundance of caution so as not to expose the fetus to any potential harm.
Hi,For any elective treatment such as dermal fillers, it is best to delay the treatment until after pregnancy. There is not clear consensus on the safety of such treatments during pregnancy, isolated cases have not resulted in any complications; BUT I personally do not treat pregnant patients and advise against it.Best,
While fillers are generally safe and Hyaluronic acid used in HA fillers are naturally made by the body, there are no studies that show fillers are safe during pregnancy, so we do not advise getting fillers done during pregnancy.
Pregnancy is a unique condition that does not last permanently, so for the safety of the baby, it is worth waiting until delivery and the possible end of breastfeeding. There are no studies that confirm that any aesthetic medicine treatments will be 100% safe for mother and child.Additionally, very often during pregnancy, water retains in the body and the lips become fuller.
Hello,We do not recommend getting any Botox or fillers of any kind while pregnant for the safety of the baby. Congrats on the pregnancy!
Thankyou for your question, In Australia we consider pregnancy and lactation as contraindication to fillers. It just hasn't really been studied that well.Good luck
I do not recommend having injectable cosmetic treatments like Botox, Dyport or fillers while pregnant.
Even though hyaluronic acids, which are most often used in the lips, are a natural substance in the body, many of these products also contain lidocaine and other ingredients. I have a definite bias, as a female physician and a mother, and feel that any product that is eaten or injected or inhaled during pregnancy is potentially harmful and the body should be treated as a temple during the time of fetal development. As a patient, I would never want to ask myself, "what did I do wrong?' if something were to harm the fetus. Everything that the mother is exposed to affects the fetus in some way. Wait nine months. All the best, Alexis Parker MD
Thank you for your question. Fillers would definitely help to improve the shape of your lip. Please schedule a consultation with a skilled injector for best results. Best regards
While Keloids are common around the ears (earlobes piercings), I have not seen them on the lips (Vermillon) themselves. Discuss your concerns with your injector before proceeding.
If the surgeon said he injected Juvederm he injected Juvederm which would be absorbed after a year and a half and your lump may be a number of possiblilties like a sebaceous cyst or granuloma or something else. If you had silicone it is there for your lifetime unless you cut out the area of lip ...
