Hi, my lips are uneven and I always get told I look angry or upset. I'm fine with the left side and would ideally want my right side to look like it. I've always been told that my face is heavier on the right side too.

Lip augmentations with fillers is a great option to improve the fullness, suppleness and symmetry of the lips. Results can be very natural-looking and will feel very natural. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns.

Thank you for your question. You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. Technique will be important here, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. Thanks for sharing your enquiry and pictures. Lip fillers with hyaluronic acid is a good no-downtime option for correction of your mild lip asymmetry. There is minimal pain or expense compared with surgery. Fillers are however temporary, lasting between 9 and 12 months.

Lip enhancement to volumize or to correct assymetry is a non-invasive procedure in which a filler substance is injected into the lip to restore volume or enhance the shape or contour of the lip. Lip enhancement can also be performed to correct asymmetry and is performed in the office under local anesthesia using Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Juvederm or Restylane. While there is a tiny difference in the right and left corner of your mouth, it does not detract from your appearance. It can be treated with a hyaluronic scid filler very simply by "turning up" the right corner. This effect should last around six to nine months.

Thanks for your question.  Your lips are a beautiful shape and you could have some filler placed if you think that will help you feel more confident.  I'd go with something not too firm to start with, like Volbella or Belotero.  For the slight downturn of the corner, a few units of Botox placed in the muscle called the depressor anguli oris can help, and is not terribly costly as it is just a few units on each side.  Many of my patients also love some Botox in the masseter muscles, which are along the lateral cheeks and can really slim the face a few months after injection.  Best of luck!
