Septoplasty & turbinates - what could help?

For 2 years the inside of my nose has been swelling almost completely up Had septoplasty and had my turbinates shaved down and was told that would solve the problem. Months later after surgery and my nose is still swelling up and still getting severely congested. Any suggestions on what it could be or what could help?

It sounds like you are suffering badly with your nasal issues, especially when considering you've already had surgery.

I would recommend seeing a rhinologist - an ENT surgeon who specializes in the nose, sinus, and allergy to try to determine the cause and an effective solution for you.

An allergy work-up and various medication trials sound warranted at this point. In the meantime, don't hesitate to try saline rinsing of the nose as you may find great benefit from this. I like the low pressure squeeze bottle method due to its ease of use and low cost.
