Unfortunately I have a small jawline with high angles, and want to know if it's possible to make the sides of my jawline appear wider with only a chin implant? I know that jaw implants would probably help the most, but I'm reluctant to get them due to the cost and complexity of the surgery. Thank you.

You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. Chin implants are manufactured in a large variety of sizes( small, medium, large, extra-large) and a variety of shapes such as pre-jowl, and anatomical. The pre-jowl implants accomplish widening of the chin. In our practice, we use Implantech solid silicone chin implants that can be custom carved when necessary. Another option is a series of Radiesse or Sculptra injections into the area of the angle of the jaw to contour and widen that area. Answer: Jaw Widening No standard form of a chin implant can make the jawline wider. In an effort to circumvent what you really need (true jaw angle implants), you can have a custom chin implant that will make some of the jawline wider as it extends back along the jawline.
