Chin Implants are manufactured in a large array of sizes, thicknesses and shapes. Remember, the chin implant is placed directly over the bone which is approximately a half an inch underneath the skin, muscle, and fat in the chin area. The size of the implant matters the most, not the shape. In our practice, we have used Implantech solid silicone anatomical chin implants for over 25 years with an excellent success rate. The flowers chin implants are very acceptable implant as well. For more information, diagrams of the chin implants, and many before-and-after examples, please see the link and the video below
Hi, I have performed many Chin Augmentations using silastic chin implants and prefer the EAC version over the Flower Mandibular Glove implant that has a wider front face section. There are many different sizes shapes and various materials as well as methods of placement. I have found that placement of an EAC silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty. I perform the procedure in 30 minutes or less, often using local anesthetic alone. In my humble opinion and experience the EAC provides a more natural, forward projection to correct a weak chin with a more naturally attractive result.Hope this helps.
I have to disagree, as facial plastic surgeon dealing reagularly with both, facial rejuvenation and chin surgey, with the plan designed for your face and neck.Thread lifts are... only threads... just it... they are a surgical fraud, no real effect overtime.I have to put into serious doubts you...
Your chin, as it is now, is a nicely proportionate and good one for you; notwithstanding it is true your chin admits a very slight anterior increase and a moderate vertical increase, by means of a two-dimensional augmentation genioplasty; this is absolutely unfeasible with accuracy and harmony...
...you are wrong about your approach and judgement regarding your chin surgery; an osseous genioplasty is the golden standard, safe, practically painless and of swift recovery. You are right about your knowledge, your goals are only feasible with a genioplasty on the chin's bone.
TMJ will not affect the shape of the jowls, jawline and mandible. The photographs demonstrate a weak and recessive chin profile and fatty deposits in the neck. Consider placement of a chin implant and liposuction in the neck to give more profile definition to the jaw line. Both procedures ar...
"A combination approach would give the most improvement. Nonsurgical options such as Kybella, PDO NovaThreads, and Ultherapy do well in combination for skin tightening, but the results are mild compared to surgical options. I would recommend a VASER Hi-Definition Liposuction with ThermiRF,...
Without an exam your question cannot be answered. You will need to see an Oral/Maxillofacial surgeon to see if othognathic surgery, genioplasty or using an implant is best for your specific case. It should be noted that patients with severely weak jaws or abnormally functioning jaws may be b...
