Can forms of neuralgia or nerve pain happen post nose surgery?

I'm sorry to hear about your postop discomfort.  It sounds like you may be suffering from neuralgia, possibly Charlin's syndrome (nasociliary neuralgia), though your symptoms don't completely match up with the "typical" Charlin's syndrome patient.  I recommend talking with your surgeon about this.  There are several treatment options available for this disorder.Good luck!

Sorry to hear about the pain after your surgery. The nasal and facial sensation is from the trigeminal nerve. Injury to these nerves can happen with any facial and dental trauma or surgery. Pain syndromes relative to the trigeminal are located in the forehead, eye, mid and lower face, teeth, ear and mouth. The location of your pain in the scalp and top and back of head would be in the occipital nerve distribution which comes out where the neck and back of head merge. Although it's unlikely there could be an infection in the sphenoid sinus which can cause pain in this distribution and could be determined by a CT scan of the sinuses. If that's negative then I would suggest a neurology consultation as they're experienced with these neuralgia and other head pain conditions. Hope this answer helps
