I had surgery on my nose 4 months ago (cosmetic and functional). At 5 weeks out I had facial burning (nose and forehead) which moved to scalp, top of my head, and back of my head. What did my surgeon damage? Could this be a nerve? How do I treat it? My derm seems to think the face is rosacea. My question is to those of you who have performed thousands of surgeries especially the atypical cases. I'm trying to get answers from my surgeon, but he is rather aloof about the whole thing.

At this VERY early postop time frame (3 WEEKS!) you need a degree of patience. If after 6 months still with these issues best to consider revision.....
It is extremely unlikely that you caused any major damage to your nose this far along in your healing process . The tenderness may have just been caused by irritation. It doesn't sound worrisome, but if you are concerned, you should talk to your physician and see what they advise.
