Under lip too wide after filler? What is your opinion and solution? (Photo)

Question

I had lipfiller, but I have the idea that it goes too far in the corners of my underlip. It looks like I have a wider mouth and it makes my under face heavier. I also have more saliva in the corners when I talk. What is your opinion and eventually solution? First picture is before. Second after.

Thank you for sharing your question and photographs.  If you do not like your filler results I would speak to your injector about having the product dissolved in the corners of your lower lip.

It is difficult to say without the benefit of an in-person consult. I would highly recommend getting a formal evaluation with and treatment from a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and expert in facial sculpting. I don’t feel your lips look too wide. The more frequent error in treatment is when the filler is not injected along the corners and the central lip looks too full and the corners just disappear giving the mouth a contracted or rounded look. I would photograph how the lips look now and compare to how they look when the filler dissipates. Then you can objectively decide which appearance you like better.

I'm sorry that you are unhappy with your lip filler treatment.  I encourage you to return to your injector to discuss your concerns.  If desired, you can have the filler dissolved with hyaluronidase.

Hello and thank you for your question. It is always best to see you face to face for a consult and examination however in this case it looks as though you have more filler than you would have liked.
