Is severe swelling on 1 side of lip normal? There’s a white patch where it feels like I can see filler through the lip. (photos)

I received 1ml of filler a few days ago into my lips with 0.7 in the top and the left side has swelled up significantly more and there looks like a white patch where I can almost see the filler through the lip! There is also still some pain as it’s very sore, I was wondering whether I should wait this out or not. I’ve attached some pictures.

Lips can certainly be quite swollen for a day or two after injection. However you said that this was a few days ago, in which case this is more than I would expect. I can see there is a bit of bruising as well. Was the injection done with needles or a cannula? Needles can cause a bit more bruising and therefore more swelling. It this hasn't started to go down then I would book in to see the doctor/practitioner that did the injections.

Thayou for your question. You are definitely swollen and bruised which usually causes even more swelling. This will settle but i would suggest you go to you injector to be reviewed . Keep icing the area also to help the swelling come down faster. Good luck

If you haven't already you need to go back and see your injector about this. Could just be excess swelling but needs a face to face consultation.
