I had a septoplasty 9 months ago and had a rhinoplasty consultation today. I was told that because I already had a septoplasty, any rhinoplasty would be considered revision rhinoplasty and I would be billed as such. Is that true? I understand the surgery may be longer if cartilage is needed from the ear or rib due to not enough septal cartilage being present but is it really a revision rhinoplasty? I'm not looking to bargain shop but I want to make sure I'm being billed fairly.
