All patients after tummy tuck will have loose skin when bending over, but so will most models and bodybuilders.  Swelling after tummy tuck usually lasts 3 to 6 months, but most of the swelling is gone after a few weeks.  Stay with your exercise routine and healthy diet; after four months, you should begin to see improvement.

Thanks for your question. From your photos, it appears you are still experiencing post-operative swelling around your midsection, which is completely normal after a tummy tuck. In fact, the swelling may several months before you are able to see the final outcome of your procedure. I recommend patience as your body heals. However, you can also seek a second opinion from a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in body contouring procedures for an in-person assessment and advice on how to proceed.

Dear melmitch10,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen.
