Is it necessary to wait 6 weeks between Sculpsure treatments 1 and 2?

SculpSure applied to the same location more than once can show even more results.  However, You will need to wait approximately 6-12 weeks before having additional treatments.  This allows sufficient time for the body to remove the treated dead fat cells.  If you prematurely treat again to the same location within 3 weeks you may be retreating the dead and some new fat cells. I usually recommend to my patients to wait at least 6 weeks for the 2nd treatment for better result.  Always go to an honest provider for proper guidance.

Your provider will be able to offer you customized advice about your treatment plan and follow-on sessions. I suggest that you move forward and consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon.

One must wait at least 4 to 6 weeks between treatments to obtain the best results. It takes this amount of time for the fat to be dissolved. If a second area was not treated, this area could be treated sooner.

Our current protocol for the second treatment with the guidelines from Cynosure is four weeks if there have been no issues, like nodules or pain. Although three weeks could be done, at that time the tissues are hardly recovered from the first treatment, so I would go with the guidelines.

Initially, the company that makes SculpSure was recommending waiting at least 6 weeks in between SculpSure treatments to the same area.  Recently, they have changed that to a recommendation of waiting at least 4 weeks.  Some physicians may decide to retreat an area sooner than 4 weeks, and this is up to their discretion.  I would not say that 3 weeks in between treatments would be inappropriate, but my personal choice is to wait at least 4 weeks.    

HI there and thanks for your question. This is a very common question I get from clients in my office also. The recommended time interval between Sculpsure treatments is a minimum of 4-6 weeks. While there may always be reasons to deviate from this recommendation, I follow it and here's why...there is ongoing inflammation after the procedure that is an expected part of your body returning to normal.  This inflammation can continue for many weeks. Some patients get nodules during this process and some do not. The nodules are just fat blobs under the skin that are waiting their turn to get cleared away by your lymphatic system. In my experience of nearly 300 Sculpsure treatments, clients tolerate each treatment better when their inflammatory process from the previous treatment is resolved. It is important to follow the recommned protocol of waiting 6-8 weeks between treatments.  If you have another too soon there is a chance that you will be treating fat cells that have already died and not new fat cells.  

Assuming you are retreating the same areas, it is best to wait at least four weeks.  If you notice any nodules in those areas, you should wait for them to completely go away before you treat that area.  Do not treat area if a nodule persists.  It could cause the nodule to be permanent.

Thank you for your question.  The usual time between treatments for SculpSure (in the same area)  is 6 weeks. Your treatment plan may include sessions staggered at intervals less than 6 weeks  to treat different locations within a  treatment area.
