Can I have laser hair removal done if I have just started low dose Accutane?

I have just started with low dose Accutane (10mg/ day) 2 weeks ago. I haven't experienced many side effects as yet, except some flaking on my upper lip and exacerbation of my acne. The laser clinic that I go to said it would be safe to have laser hair removal done on my face while on a low dose which I only started recently. However, I'm still unsure and would like to know if it is safe and what are the risks of scarring?

I perform laser treatments on my Accutane patients at times. But I am also keenly aware of their dosage and my treatment parameters. If you don't have an office that is keenly aware of Accutane and lasers, then no, it is probably not safe. And I advise my patients to be off of the Accutane for 2 days prior to LHR or IPL. I prescribe only low dose Accutane. Many offices make patients be off Accutane for a minimum of 6 months prior to any laser treatments. Each office will have their own parameters and experiences.
