From the initial consultation through the procedure, Dr de la Fuente’s professionalism, preparedness, and confidence made it easy to go forward with the procedure. He kept me informed throughout the procedure and inquired often how I was feeling. Never did I feel like just another patient. I would not hesitate to return to Tijuana to schedule another appointment with Dr de la Fuente.
Fraxel for lower eye lids crepiness and pulsated light for red spots. I would recommend Dr. de la Fuente 100%. He is knowledgeable, professional, careful, patient, caring, and responsive. I just have great things to say about him. He performed fraxel and pulsated light perfectly. Recovery was better than expected, results are visible. I am so glad to have found such a great dermatologist in TJ! His prices are very reasonable too!
The procedure was long pain was barable. I am average with pain:/ overall I say the treatment is worth it; I seen an instant result. Skin was tighter around the turkey neck and cheeks; overall face looks fuller. :) Dr. Says final results will show up to 6 months. I will post additional pictures in 1month:)
I had 8 IPL treatments for hair removal 3 years ago, it was a torture and really painful. I finally found that Dr de la Fuente got the LightSheer Duet and it was a piece of cake compared to the painful IPL, amazing how comfortable it is, not 100% pain free but really comfortable and tolerable even on sensitive areas. Plus it's almost the price of IPL!! so I took a great package deal. A huge asset that Cosmed finally offers this laser.
I recently travelled back to Cosmed in Tijuana for a few more procedures. I had previously had a mommy makeover (breast augmentation and lipo) with Dr. Alejandro Quiroz and I had a wonderful experience. My breast augmentation was amazing, they look beautiful and natural. Dr. Quiroz' bedside manner was impeccable and I cannot say enough about the facility and the staff. I went back to Cosmed recently and had what they describe as a "liquid facelift" with Dr. Quiroz and the Cosmed dermatologist, Dr. Alberto de la Fuente. I am 43 years old and although I do not think I am ready for an actual facelift, I did feel that my skin was not as taught as it used to be, especially around the neck and jawline. Dr. De la Fuente performed a procedure called Thermage on my face and neck. It was non-invasive and for the most part painless (but for the occasional sensitive spots near nerve endings and bones). Dr. Quiroz did Botox and fillers after the Thermage. From the minute I walked out I saw the difference and from what they explained the real difference comes after a couple of months, so more to look forward to! Dr. De la Fuente was excellent and really took time with me and with all of my questions and concerns. He has a gentle hand and is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I honestly feel that the Cosmed team is unbeatable!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
He gave me the botox and went into detail abou the other procedures and topical items that can help my skin and face. He injected my laugh lines and chin to take away the orange dimply look.
I am still trying to get a response about an appointment. I sent pictures and detailed responses to a very long list of questions the receptionist Emilia Diaz told me I need to complete before she would book an appointment for Accutane. She has since ignored my calls and emails about actually making the appointment. I live in the US so its imperative I know when I can come a day before at least to plan accordingly. I am shocked by the unprofessionalism and lack of care/follow up by Dr. De La Fuente’s staff thus far. I sincerely hope to be able to revise this review to a better one but that will depend upon whether this office cares to give me the time of day or not.. very disappointing to be treated this way. Perhaps if I were in need of expensive fillers and peels they would be more responsive. If they care about patients at all I would hope they would fit me in. I know cystic acne is not as glamorous to deal with as lip filler. However, I would hope Dr de la fuente garcia would want to help someone like me with a legitamate dermatological condition that needs treatment asap (severe cystic acne that has persisted into my 30’s) despite the lower price tag of my treatment vs someone getting loads of filler… So far I haven’t heard back… hoping that changes.
I have moles on my face that I am embarrassed about. I feel like that is the first thing that people see. I had a few removed a few years ago, and you have to be careful, especially on the face, that the scar will be minimal. I have had about 4 more take the place of the 2 that were removed. I am confident that these will be removed with the upmost of care. Dr. De La Fuentes is vary caring, and takes the time to explain what will work, with the least amount of scaring. He has been treating my psoriasis for about 10 months now, and it is almost GONE! something that was never able to be accomplished before.
No, safety on pregnant women and babies have not been studied that well yet, but also hormonal changes may have the risk of more pigmentation or side effects. Avoid unnecessary cosmetic treatments during pregnancy, maybe you may need them later, together with bleaching creams, because of melasma.
Depends on your geographic location, the brand of IPL, and the person who does it. It is not the same that a Dermatolgist or Plastic Surgeon performs the treatment, compared to a non physican, aesthetician, PA or nurse. Make sure the person doing it is a Dermatologist or Plastic Surgeon, if not, at least that the person doing it is under the supervision of the specialist for better and optimal results, and also for less risks of side effects.
In my experience (with Lumenis an BTL IPLs, and some other IPL brands as demos) no, even a lot of IPL manufacturers promise pore improvement. What improves more the pore size are retinoids and azelaic acid, together with fractional laser, which I offer in my practice.
Yes, it is safe. Just make sure to mention which medications are you currently taking to determine if they are not phototoxic
Your skin needs to be checked by your Dermatologist to establish a proper diagnosis. Most commonly could be and acne or folliculitis break, which is treated with mupirocin ointment or diluted white vinegar soaks for 2-3 days + facial clenasing every 12 hours. Also if the post laser cream is too oily or heavy, it could be another cause and needs to be changed to a lighter one. If you have a history of herpes simplex a.K.a cold sores, then a herpes should be ruled out and treated with acyclovir or any other oral antiviral medication at least for 7-10 days.
