Why is my whole torso hard after lipo? Is it fibrosis?

I am 11 days post op lipo and bbl. my concern is my whole torso feels hard, as if I am wearing a very stiff corset even when I'm nude. And when I stretch it feels as if my skin and muscles are pulling. I had aggressive lipo in DR. Is this fibrosis? Skin to muscle deformity?? What can I do to fix this? Will entomologie help?? I go to see my pop Wednesday, but I'm looking to put my mind at ease.

Lipo by any technique causes your body to produce fluids. These fluids harden and the hardness will go away after a few months. The best management for reducing this more quickly is to keep using your compression garment and start professional massage therapy at least 3 times per week for a few weeks.

In my practice , as I do a significant amount of aggressive Hi Def Liposuction, it is normal to get fibrosis and hard feeling.  This is improved with lymphatic massage, hyperbaric oxygen and venus legacy RF treatments.  However, you need to get looked at immeidately to ensure no infection, seroma, or scarring (which would be very rare this early).  Speak to your physician and follow their post operative protocols, in my practice that is very extensive to prevent complications.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Dear Bout2baDurandoll:  You are only 11 days out from liposuction.  This is very normal.  This is swelling caused by the liposuction as your body tries to heal the wound which was created inside. The lumpiness, numbness and hardness after liposuction typically persists at least 8 weeks after the surgery then slowly goes away. In my experience, daily massage of the hard areas makes the biggest difference in getting rid of it sooner rather than later. It can take 4-6 months to get to your final result. Hope this helps.
