I had hard lumps after Smart Lipo - how long will it take to dissolve and Smart Lipo results?

I had hard lumps after making smart lipo for tummy and flanks so began making radio frequency and lymphatic massage drainage device ,,,so how long will it take to dissolve these lumps and how long will take to see the result of the reshaping my body as i want??

Liposuction by any method causes inflammation and swelling. In addition, it completely disrupts the lymphatic system for months in the areas treated. The lymphatic system is what your body uses to get rid of fluid. Massage pushes the fluid out of these areas and into areas where the lymphatic system is intact and can eliminate the fluid much more rapidly. The best massage is a forceful deep tissue treatment done by hand and not a light lymphatic massage. Make sure they're pressing hard, otherwise the fluid won't move sufficiently.

Some degree of lumps is common after smart lipo. They are usually temporary, but can take several months to fade. Massage and compression are helpful.Close follow up with your plastic surgeon is recommended.

Lumps after SmartLipo generally are due to localized pockets of fluid in the interstitial spaces or they can be irregular globs of fat left behind. Keep massaging and many times these resolve. A quick way to resolve the localized edema areas is to use ultrasonic treatments. Good luck.

you need to be patient after Smartlipo. i stress to all of my patients that you will continue to improve for 6 months. It is not uncommon for patients to get some lumpiness. In my experience,they are not seen but only felt. They will gradually go away but it can take months. I don't thinkyou need to do anything other then gently massage them to help them along. david berman md
