There is no interference from laser liposuction with a pacemaker. You should be able to undergo the procedure and not worry about your pacemaker. Anyway just inform your surgeon that you have the pacemaker and he should re-assure you it is OK.
I have never had an issue with doing liposuction on patients with a pacemaker as long as the liposuction is no performed over the pacemaker area. For best results with treatments like Smart Lipo, I recommend adding a combination of radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, Venus Legacy, Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing in order to get the best results. However, for the best results with contouring and fat removal, I recommend VASER HI DEF, with ThermiRF and ultrasound. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for asking this question. You should be able to have the procedure done. Make sure your surgeon is aware of your condition. Your surgeon may ask for medical clearance from your cardiologist. Best of luck to you!
Since there is no electromagnetic energy involved, there really shouldn't be any issues with doing SmartLipo on someone with pacemakers. Some practitioners add procedures such as Thermage, etc. during lipo which could potentially pose a problem. It's important to ask exactly what devices, if any, will be used during the liposuction procedure and to specifically list that you have a pacemaker when discussing lipo options with your surgeon.Hope that helps
Yes, it can take 3-6 months for final results with Smart Lipo. I suggest lymphatic massage, RF treatments like venus legacy or exilis at this time. Based on your photos, you appear to have some skin laxity, which would make you a candidate for a tummy tuck, which can be combined with VASER ...
From you pictures and what you describe it seems that your problem might be partially genetics and partially an inadequate diet. In general exercise is great but does not really reduce weight and most current diets in our society are too high on carbs. A nutritional consultation would serve you...
With your pictures it is evident that you have significant irregularities and uneven skin and contour after your liposuction. Without an exam it is difficult to define whether the problem is incomplete and uneven fat removal, significant internal scar tissue, fluid build up (seromas) and...
I have rarely performed traditional liposuction alone for over the past 10 years. I routinely use Smart Lipo (laser) and Vaser (ultrasound), which are light years beyond and give far superior results.Either can be done under local and allow difficult areas such as inner thigh and knee to be eas...
In the evidence based medicine article in the Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery it was noted that many studies showed that there is no benefit to Smart lipo and it is usually noted among plastic surgeons that it is mainly a marketing tool. It would add to cost of procedure...
Thank you for your question. The swelling is completely normal following liposuction to the abdomen. The fluid tends to collect in this area, especially if you are wearing an abdominal binder. This will resolve with time.Best of Luck,
