How long do I have to wait to have a breast reduction after bbl? I'm having bbl June 12, when can I get a breast reduction? I'm getting married September 30 and would like to have it done the end of July, would that be okay?
Answer: Waiting Period After BBL for a Breast Reduction This will depend upon your overall health, and the healing involved. If you would like to separate them, 6 weeks to 3 months may be appropriate, but the plastic surgeon performing your BBL is in a better position to advise you.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

Answer: How long do I have to wait to have a breast reduction after a BBL? Thank you for your question. With staging procedures, I usually recommend patients wait at least three months between surgeries to allow time for healing and recuperation. However, with the buttock fat transfer, your surgeon may not want you lying directly on your buttocks for that extended period of time for reduction surgery, but you need to discuss that with him or her. Regardless, the timeline you have set out (about 6 weeks) is not enough time and I would not advise this.Best of luck!

Answer: Breast reduction after a BBL Dear Tali's Tail, based on your information, there would be a 40 days period between two surgeries. In my opinion, that wouldn't be enough time for the body to fully heal from the first surgery (BBL). It can take up to 6 months for a body to fully heal after a BBL surgery. You should consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon for more information. Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery

Answer: How long do I have to wait to have a breast reduction after a BBL? Thank you for your question. It is best to heal completely from your BBL surgery before getting the breast reduction. It can take up to 6 months for your body to recover completely from the first surgery, although some patients heal faster than others. Best is to follow your specific surgeon's instructions aand see what he or she recommends. You may be able to have the breast reduction surgery after 3 or 4 months from having your BBL. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. Best is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
