I have a platelet count of 417. Other wise very healthy. Can I get a breast augmentation?

As long as you have had a proper medical workup and do not have any issues with blood clots you should be able to get a breast augmentation as the relative risk for this surgery is low considering it is a relatively short procedure and can be done without putting you under complete paralysis. A hematologist should work you up to find the cause of the high platelet count prior to surgery.

It is important that you have a normal blood count and are healthy before considering elective surgery. I recommend discussing the nature of your platelet count with your primary care physician before moving forward with breast augmentation.

you should be healhty prior to any elective procedure. Every plastic surgeon has his own preoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.
