Bellafill for hips / buttocks. How common is the risk of granulomas? (Photo)

Question

Seeking info on injecting the dermal filler “Bellafill” off-label into the hip dips. My goal is to add some hip/curves. Sculptra doesn’t seem like a good scenario for me as my body may metabolize sculptra too quickly & I won’t build much collagen at all. I’ve slightly done some research on granulomas being a risk with bellafill. How common does this risk occur? Are there any other risks?

you can do fat grafting or add bellafill or renuva to the sculptra. that is the best long term plan. there is always a risk of complications such as granulomas or hypercalcemia.  add trusculpt flex.

Sculptra with the right dilution doesn't cause nodules in the buttock and is very safe.  It should be  combined with RF treatments to get the sculptra to work even better/stimulate it to produce collagen such as venus legacy / exilis ultra / thermage / inmode forma or contoura.  We often will add bellafill or renuva to certain areas to improve indentations or the buttock roll to get more definition and softening or to improve overall size and shape.  Smooth novathreads do very well to improve laxity of the buttock as well non surgically.  Just know that sculptra takes numerous treatments and vials, its a large expense and must be maintained at least 2 times a year after a series of treatments for the best result.  Dr. Emer.

Bellafill is a semi-permanent filler with a host of complications that can be long-lasting. Our office specializes in filler complications, especially those related to Bellafill and Artefill, including granulomas, lumps, and soft tissue swelling. Surgery may be one option; whereas non-surgical soft-tissue lifting and intralesional injections may help reduce the visibility of these fillers.

If you are trying to enhance the appearance of your buttocks Bellafill is a great product.. Granulomas are a very very rare complication...In addition to filling the buttocks area , cool sculpting or lipo of the love handles if there is any fat there  can also help shape the buttocks
