Thanks for your question. The answer is no. With Brazilian butt lift we transfer fat from one area of the body to the other. These fat cells are transferred in microinjections throughout multiple planes in the buttock tissue so that they can gain new blood supply and live in their new home, providing increased volume and shape to the buttocks.Postoperatively, no specific position is indicated and we do not have any sitting restrictions. The pressure caused by sitting is not sufficient to affect viability of the fat cells and so the postsurgical position depends basically on comfort and any other operations that have been performed.
Depending on the anesthesiologist and surgeon this varies. Mostly patients wake up on their back to ensure a patent airway - as patient safety comes first. A short period of time on your back right after surgery will not impact the result.
Greetings. It is not unusual to wake up on the back after the BBL. This is to protect the airway and make sure there are no issues. Eventually, patients are placed on their stomach after it is determined there are no issues that will compromise their safety. Every surgeon and facility has a different protocol. Ultimately, the safety of the patient is paramount. A short period of time on the back will not affect anything drastically. Best wishes.
Hi, thanks for your inquiry, your safety comes first so proper breathing needs to be assured. Besides it is only for a short period of time, Respectfully,Dr. Jaime Campos-Leon
Mostly patients wake up on their back to ensure a safe airway. Patient survival is more important than fat survival. A short period of time on your back right after surgery should not impact the result.
Patients are awakened in different positions usually as a preferences of both the surgeon and anesthesiologist. Short times on the buttocks should not impact "take" of the fat.
You should be safe around 6 months. That is when the most of the size and shape has stabilized. Thank you for your question.
This is a great question! I always recommend that patients come into their consultation with a list of questions written out so they make sure to ask me everything they have been thinking about. Here are some of the questions I recommend you ask your surgeon:1. Are you a board certified plastic...
Hello dear!! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. Your results should be permanent, with exercise and a clean diet. Lifting, squats and lunges after a BBL will only help increase muscle bulk and definition and achieve a more projected buttocks. If you have any concerns, I...
