Plastic surgery is real surgery.  It carries risks.  The risks are minimized by optimizing your health BEFORE surgery.  It is crucial that you follow up with your regular doctor about your elevated blood sugar.  Blood sugar is affected by your recent diet so it is certainly possible to have an elevated level without diabetes.  Lab tests should be able to differentiate an underlying problem (like diabetes) from a random blood sugar spike due to something you ate or drank before the test.  Having well controlled diabetes doesn't necessarily rule out plastic surgery for you, but it is essential that your sugar is under control.  The most important consideration is your safety!
