Hello, Thank you for the question. The longer out from your tummy tuck the better in terms of getting laparoscopy and not having it affect your result. You may also want to have your general surgeon discuss this with your plastic surgeon as a smaller volume of air used during your laparoscopy may also be possible and could minimize the distention of your abdomen. All the best, Dr Remus Repta
As stated earlier, more surgery on your abdominal wall will not necessarily undo all of the results from the abdominoplasty, however, there is no guarantee. At minimum, you should have the surgeon discuss the case with your plastic surgeon so they can go over the details of your upcoming surgery.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to provide you with real accurate advice and/or reassurance without knowing significantly more detail. You will be best off asking the operating surgeon more about the details of the planned operation and what effects it may have on the previous tummy tuck operation. Otherwise, online consultants can only speculate and may provide you with misleading information. Best wishes.
EIther may (or may not) add more incisions, but neither should compromise the improvements of tighter skin and tighter abdominal wall. Good luck with your procedure. Thanks and best wishes.
