I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting, and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. I suggest seeing a facial sculpting expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer
Photos would have been very helpful. Generally speaking, however, HA fillers work well for elevating and smoothing downturned marionette lines. Filler treatment of marionette lines is by no means something new. I personally have been performing it for well over three decades. The precise HA filler(s) needed would depend upon the specifics of any individual case. Make sure to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist. Best of luck.
Hi, thank you for your question! I would recommend a full face consultation to evaluate how you can address your marionette lines. A couple of options for you could be cheek filler , directly fill the lines, you could use microneedling for texture issues. Another treatment option is Sculptra to help indirectly treat the area to lift the cheeks. The number of treatments can vary person to person and this can be evaluated during a consultation.
There are several options to improve the appearance of a marionette line, however a good evaluation of what is contributing to the line is essential prior to picking an option. Loss skin elasticity of the mid-face, DAO (depressor muscle activity), general volume loss, can all be contributing factors. Depending on these circumstances, filler to the line or general pre-jowl area, neuro-modulator to the DAO muscle, filler to the mid-face and cheeks, PDO therapy for the mid and lower face or even a combination of these therapies may be optimal for you.
Thank you for your question! Dermal fillers, like Juvéderm and Restylane, are commonly used to treat the appearance of marionette lines along the face. These fillers add volume to the face and improve the sagginess that cause those lines to be visible. An experienced provider can help determine which brand of filler is best for your aesthetic goals. Hope this helps!
You can absolutely treat marionette lines. It would be best to assess in person to determine the amount of product needed but filler is a way to treat them and receive immediate results. Of course, you also have to be a candidate for filler. Again, I recommend you do a consultation with a provider to determine a treatment plan.

HA fillers are a common option to improve the appearance of marionette lines. The treatment is done in the office and some of the results can be seen immediately. If the lines are more severe your injector can discuss other options such as Morpheus8 to enhance your results.
Hi there! Typically for radial cheek lines, we would use an injection called sculptra to stimulate collagen production in the area. Usually, cheek wrinkles are not deep enough for us to place filler in. Another alternative would be to place some smooth threads in the area. Hope this helps!
Hi there and thank you for your question! typically we do not use filler for any horizontal forehead lines due to wrinkles not having enough depth to add volume back to the area. Adding filler to shallow line would make the area look lumpy and uneven, especially with thinner skin in the area....
This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry...
