They can also be dissolved using hyaluronidase. You were most likely injected with another substance if the results persisted for 5 years. Perhaps, you can contact your provider to determine what was used? If not, your best option is to consult with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess the substance and determine the best method of removal.

Hyaluronidase can dissolve unwanted Juvederm. The question here is whether in fact, Juvederm was actually injected. Plain Juvederm injected in this location would likely have been metabolized away naturally after about a year. Juvederm Voluma, a more robust HA product can potentially remain for about two years. Here, however, we are talking about five to six years duration, which suggests either a granuloma formation or that another substance, perhaps a permanent filler, was actually used, rather than Juvederm. If the filler you had injected is an HA filler then it should be able to be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Contact the provider who injected you to find out what was used. Typically HA fillers are no longer present after 5 years.

If the filler used is an HA (hyaluronic acid) product, then yes, Hylenex should dissolve it. Usually, the HA fillers do not last past 12-18 months, but not always. My only question is if the filler is indeed still present in your chin.

"Fake Juvederm"???? Most likely NOT an HA product if lasted this long, 5-6 years. Maybe silicone ot PMMA?? Only a biopsy of area to determine what the injected product might be and them multiple sessions of injecting 5-FU @ $800/session. Best to virtual consult with...
