What you are experiencing is simply a normal part of the healing process. With time, your breasts will soften. For now, keep doing what you are doing and be patient. My best,Dr. Sheila Nazarian@drsheilanazarian on Instagram
I appreciate your question.Right now, you are early on in thepost op recovery period. It will take 3-6 months for you to feel comfortablehaving implants in your body and for them to settle. This time allows for youto physically and psychologically adapt to your new body image. There are manyvariables that contribute to a breast augmentation's final result. Preop sizeand shape, IMF location, location of the implants and type of implant. Patientsheal at different rates and each breast will sometimes heal at a differentrate. Rest, relax, recover and heal. Please Express your concerns to your surgeon sohe/she can examine you at this time. Then reassess final result at 6 months. The best way to assess and give trueadvice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plasticsurgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.Best of luck!Dr. Schwartz
I think the best thing for you to do is see your plastic surgeon for an examination to determine the cause. It is possible that your muscle is in spasm and gets better throughout the day and this will improve over time, however there may be other factors that are causing this and I highly recommend that you get an opinion from your plastic surgeon.
Hang in there! As long as the shape and feel are improving week to week, however slowly, there is still hope for the final outcome. Ask you plastic surgeon if there are any compression garments, stretches or massaging exercises that can help speed your recovery.
and continue with your massage regimen. As mentioned by others, its muscle spasm until proven otherwise. If you remain hard all the time, then you have a different problem.
I am not sure what isreally going on here as you did not really give us much information to go on.If you are just 30 days out it is likely nothing. Sure, you could get acapsular contracture that early but it is rare. It most likely is just thatyour skin is still tight. The muscle still is in spasm now and again and thatcan make them feel firm. But, go see your surgeon to make sure it is nothingbigger going on.
Congratulations onhaving undergone the breast augmentation procedure. I ask my patients to wait3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentationsurgery. This waiting time allows patients to adapt to the changes in their breast sizeand shape as well as their overall new body image. There are asignificant percentage of patients at your stage of recovery that feel thatthey are too big or (more commonly) too small. And those emotional feelings canchange daily turning this transitional time.It can take many months to see the finalresults of surgery. Swelling, soreness, skin repositioning, implant settling mustresolve completely before you can make that determination. Once the swellingaround the implants has also resolved you can see the final result. Patientsoften report that they are happier with the implants' shape their cleavage andprojection once these changes occur.I would suggest continued patience andcontinued close follow-up with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes or an outcome that youwill be pleased with long-term.
If your breasts are only hard first thing in the morning and then soften up as the day goes on, my guess is that it has to do with your muscles spasming. There could be issues with how you sleep and if you are cold while you sleep. A warming blanket over your chest while you sleep might help. Also, it is not uncommon to find it difficult to get comfortable after breast implants because there is volume in the way that you are not used to. I would try extra pillows to help support your sleep positioning as well. Finally, very occasionally, we can inject some Botox into your pectoralis muscles to relax them temporarily.
You have to be patient and your breasts will drop into their pocket and settle down and feel more natural; this process can take up to 3 months.
Thank you for the question and as you and your body go through the healing process this will stop and your breasts will soften and become part of you. So try to be patient but let your surgeon know of your concerns.Dr. Corbin
Thank you for submitting this question. It is very common to have some skin flaking and dryness post-operatively. Your skin has been stretched out and will have some tension. Additionally, your breasts may have some irritation related to the dressings and surgical bra used....
Whoa! Hold on there. Give yourself and your chest a little time. It takes time for tissues to heal and settle and it also takes time to adjust mentally to anything new with the body be it larger breasts, smaller breasts, perkier breasts, a flat abdomen, a lifted face, etc...
Though I would discuss your concerns with your surgeon, I wouldn't worry about the indent for several reasons: Overall, you have a beautiful result. (This is the most important reason.)You are not completely healed. It's amazing how many of these little indents take care of themselves with time...
