Should I now be massaging above top lip to smooth out raised duck look appearance or too early?

I had Juvederm Filler above my lips to fill in the smokers lines, 5 days ago. The side that had the deepest lines is ok and not too raised, however the lines are still there. I had the other side filled to even it out but seems to have been filled too much and my mouth has a slight duck look, I also have a clear raised lump on this side underneath the lip, will this be juvederm that has moved? Should I try and massage the top lip area now to smooth the appearance or is it too late to do this?

I recommend that you do not massage the filler as you do not want to press too hard and/or move the filler into the wrong place. Lumps and bumps usually resolve on their own, once the filler starts to get incorporated with your own skin tissue. It would be best if you book a follow up appointment with your injector in 1-2 weeks, and he/she can massage any residual lumps or bumps at that time.

Swelling after a juvederm treatment is very common. I would recommend that you book a 2 week follow up with your injector to assess your filler treatment. Best of Luck

You can try and massage the
filler to a more normal position or return to the doctor that injected you and
I am sure he or she will be happy to help you out. If this fails you can always
use hyaluronidase to remove it.
