How much pressure/force does it take to rupture silicone implants?

I went to the chiropractor today for the first time after having my ba. He adjusted me standing up and laying down and I was worried that he was gonna pop one. He is an awesome chiropractor but he is a BIG man so he can push with a lot of force. I have scoleosis in my upper back so the adjustments are around the boob area.

It is highly unlikely that your breast implant could be rupture due to manipulation.  The implants are designed to withstand 3 times your body weight in pressure.  You can run over the implant with a car ( not recommended) and they will not rupture.

It is unlikley that chiropractic manipulations would cause an implant rupture to occue. It relaly takes a lot of effort to rupture an implant.

It is not very likely that a chiropractic adjustment could cause an implant to rupture.  Most of the time we see this happening with blunt trauma to the chest -- such as a car accident.

Thank you for the question.Based on the description of the “trauma”  and the fact (presumably) that your breast  exam remains unchanged,  it is very unlikely that any harm was done by the adjustment.  In general, it would take significantly more force to cause breast implant rupture. Of course, for real peace of mind direct examination by your plastic surgeon will be necessary.Best wishes.
