There are certain medications that can cause increased bruising such as ibuprofen, ginko biloba among other herbal supplements, and obviously blood thinners like coumadin. Antibiotics and prednisone should not make you bruise more. Considering you are on antibiotics, I don't see why you can't get injected as long as you don't have any acute symptoms in the area, such as tenderness or swelling.Andrew Campbell, M.D.Facial Rejuvenation SpecialistQuintessa Aesthetic Centers

Certain medications can increase bruising from injections, but not the ones you are currently taking. However, you should not be getting injections while you have an active infection. Wait until you're infection has cleared before having any filler placed. It's just not worth the risk. Feel better soon!
You may want to delay your treatment until you are feeling better, however those particular medications should not increase your bruising chances.
Thank you for your question. There are certain medications that may cause an increased risk of bruising and bleeding from a procedure, but are more likely to be NSAIDs such as aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, toradol, etc. Antibiotics and prednisone are unlikely to cause any significant bruising from your procedure, though it is generally advisable to avoid elective procedures while you have an active infection. You should discuss this with your provider prior to injection.
Swelling and/or tenderness can be typical and may be asymmetrical. Icing, arnica and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.
