I had dermal fillers in my tear trough and lips about 3 years ago (apologies as I do not recall what type(s) of filler). About 6-8 months afterward I had a strange reaction. My body broke out in itchy hives and my filler swelled up. It scared me but it went away overnight. Since then it’s happened 2 more times…so once or twice a year this happens . I just recently read that people with autoimmune diseases should avoid filler, which no one ever told me. Could my Crohn’s disease be the cause?
