Now my facial hair grows back unevenly and not aesthetically the result I expected, any suggestions? (Photos)

Question

The 1st treatment left strange lines across my face where the laser was applied.The 2nd treatment left burn marks, red spots, rash, and infection on the treated areas.I am concerned about the red marks. Do you have any suggestions?There are lines that shows where there was treatment. Now my facial hair grows back unevenly and not aesthetically the result I expected. Is there a milder treatment that would not affect me as traumatically. looking forward to your suggestions to help me through this.

Thank you for your question and pictures. Laser hair removal machines do a great job and I can see you got great reduction but with that said, you can look patchy (shadowing of hair) remaining. However, it does look like the spacing could have been better giving you even better results. With every laser hair removal treatment you will get only a percentage of hair follicles that are destroyed. This is why I would recommend 6 treatments and then after see what hair if any remains for a touch up. Good luck and keep up with the treatments for you will love the end results.

Thank you for sharing the photos. The results are very patchy and the only good solution is trying to remove the rest of the hair.  Laser Hair Removal in men in the beard area can be a bit tricky.  Wishing you the best of health.

The uneven lines are common with hair removal on the face. This should of been explained to you as a side effect post treatment.The way to correct them is to continue, as they will go away with the subsequence treatments. As for the burns, that means that the technician treated you with too much energy for the coarseness of your hair and skin tone. To help with the redness you can try OTC Hydrocortisone cream 2 times a day or call your provider for RX strength steroid cream. Keep sunscreen over the areas while skin is healing to help prevent worsening of the hyperpigmentation.Good Luck!
