Now my facial hair grows back unevenly and not aesthetically the result I expected, any suggestions? (Photos)

Thank you for your question and pictures. Laser hair removal machines do a great job and I can see you got great reduction but with that said, you can look patchy (shadowing of hair) remaining. However, it does look like the spacing could have been better giving you even better results. With every laser hair removal treatment you will get only a percentage of hair follicles that are destroyed. This is why I would recommend 6 treatments and then after see what hair if any remains for a touch up. Good luck and keep up with the treatments for you will love the end results.  

Thank you for sharing the photos. The results are very patchy and the only good solution is trying to remove the rest of the hair.  Laser Hair Removal in men in the beard area can be a bit tricky.  Wishing you the best of health.

It take a series of consistent treatments to get permanent hair loss. You need to continue with you sessions. For any after care concerns/irregularities follow up with the rendering physician. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer. 

The uneven lines are common with hair removal on the face. This should of been explained to you as a side effect post treatment.The way to correct them is to continue, as they will go away with the subsequence treatments. As for the burns, that means that the technician treated you with too much energy for the coarseness of your hair and skin tone. To help with the redness you can try OTC Hydrocortisone cream 2 times a day or call your provider for RX strength steroid cream. Keep sunscreen over the areas while skin is healing to help prevent worsening of the hyperpigmentation.Good Luck!

    I am very sorry that this happened to you. There are various things that can cause issues like this. The settings may have been too strong, the laser may be broken, the provider may not be educated in darker skin, pressure may have been different, and cross-hatching was not done. I would recommend meeting with another provider in regards to this. I do think that the issues can be remedied with more treatments, done correctly, to even out the hair removal. We utilize a BBL machine and have had great results with it. Good luck to you.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you, this could be due to lack of uneven spacing and or pressure of the hand piece. A solution to fixing this issue is to finish with all of your laser hair removal sessions and after so many treatments the hair will be reduced. This is normal in some cases for uneven striping, this could also be due to not keeping up on getting your treatments during your anagen phase and being consistent. Wishing you the best

At this point, the only good solution is trying to remove the rest of the hair. This is actually a frequent problem and I usually will not perform this procedure. You must have a 1064 laser used for this because its the only wavelength safe for your skin type.

the laser was applied unevenly,as a result  you are left with hair growing in lines. as far as I understand you have had only two treatments. you should perhaps get treated over the areas where the hair is still thick to match the other areas.also I would keep the strength of the laser lower than before as you have darker skin and this gives the burn and the post laser hyper-pigmentation. the hair is dark and should absorb light well.I hope this helps!
