2 years ago I was diagnosed with seb derm and and what my doctor, in his words, only could assume was Androgenic Alopecia and telogen effluvium, my scalp condition has died down but my hairloss never recovered and has only continued to worsen after 2 years on both Finasteride and Minoxidil, I am at my wits end, I’m incredibly depressed, stressed and anxious. I’m wondering if it’s even worth staying on the meds. Should I get a biopsy/blood test? please help.

Answer: Hair loss — spironolactone/finesteride, PRP/acell/exosomes, emeragecosmetics Restorsea spray, Viviscal, anteageMD stem cells you need to start theradome now (see link). You need a formal evaluation to see what type of hair loss you may have. when you have hairless its best to do a full hormonal workup for internal optimization plus scalp biopsies or scrapings to rule out any stress related, inflammatory, autoimmune or infectious causes of hair loss. In general most people with early hair loss have telogen (stress related) and/or androgenetic (normal aging) and both can be treated with in office treatments like steroid injections, PRP/acell, Exosomes and at home treatments like oral medications, oral vitamins like Viviscal, topical exfoliating sprays like Restorsea, and weekly growth factors like anteagemd. See an expert for an evaluation. If hair loss is significant it may requires hair transplant (follicular unit translation).

Answer: What Works Better Than Finasteride and Minoxidil? The only way to effectively treat ANYTHING is to first get an accurate diagnosis. The ONLY way to get an accurate diagnosis is through blood tests. The Biochemical Report Card set of blood tests was developed to precisely track all the biomarkers which lead to hair loss. What we have discovered is that hair loss is not itself the disease but a symptom of a deeper underlying biochemical imbalance in most cases caused by some defective enzymes inherited from our parents but made worse by environmental factors such as nutrition and stress. Unless we understand the whole picture of what is going on we cannot create a precise solution that treats you personally. Everyone's case is different and requires a personalized program to be truly effective.
