Can a sliding genioplasty give the appearance of a more defined jawline and balance out cheekbones? My jawline is very undefined and my lower face looks short. Can a sliding genioplasty lengthen and narrow my lower face as well?

A sliding genioplasty will provide balance to the lower face when someone has a recessed chin or a problem related to the length of the chin. It will not alter the shape or have any direct affect on the cheekbones. For example, someone with a recessed chin will look longer and balanced from the frontal view giving a more V-line shape to the face. In the profile view, they should have a gentle convex profile. Usually jawline liposuction will provide more definition to the jawline.
