I'm in my late 20s and 6' tall, I was at one point 240lbs, but I've maintained my weight at 160lbs for the past 3 years. Unfortunately my breasts did not shrink in size as much as I would have hoped, and I continue to be a 36DD. My question is, how likely is it that a surgeon would be willing to take my request seriously? (I have wanted very small breasts since puberty.) And how possible would it be for them to reduce them that greatly without requiring multiple surgeries? Thank you.

Answer: Would it be possible to go from a 36DD to a 36B? Would it require multiple surgeries? Thank you for your pictures and questions. You are an awesome candidate for breast reduction surgery. I think if you want to be a B cup, this could easily be achieved in one surgery. Just make sure you communicate your goals clearly with your surgeon and make sure you are seeing a local board certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck!

Answer: Breast Reduction Surgery You would likely only need one surgery to achieve a breast reduction surgery. This can often be covered by our insurance if you have neck pain, back pain, bra-strap grooving. I recommend an in-office examination as well as a detailed discussion with a surgeon who you are comfortable. Additionally, make sure your surgeon is a Double-Board Certified Plastic Surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
