Can severefood poisoning or taking probiotics interfere with Botox injections working on a hemifacial spasm?

Started Botox treatments for a hemifacial spasm in the last year. Had 3 treatments so far with the most recent in early December. Treatments seemed to be working for the last year; however two weeks after my last injection I had a severe case of food poisoning (had both diaherria and vomiting). Diaherria persisted for a week so started taking probiotics because doctor recommended it. Shortly after all of this my hemifacial spasm came back in full force as if I never had the Botox shots.

Botox is not affected by any internal medications.  It only works locally where injected.  Best, Dr. Emer.

have any effect on your Botox treatment. Botox is not affected by any internal
medications. It only works where it is injected. If you still have concerns
