I have had 3 treatments of botox size since October to get rid of my frown lines. 1st treatment was on October 28th....30 units in glabellar area and Center forehead area...Nov 15th 15 more units in glabellar area....Dec 22nd.....26 more units in glabellar area. Should I do filler next? The static lines are still very deep...even after the Botox. Is the glabellar area generally safe for filler?
Answer: When movement stopped, change plan When you have had all of the Botox/Xeomin/Dysport that you need to stop the problem you will not be able to move(scrunch) those muscles. If you can't move the muscles, don't add Botox; it will not help. At that point you need to look at fillers. This is a delicate area with more risk potential hen some areas so be sure that you are going o an experienced physician to have this done. This is not a job for the spa or an extender to be doing.

Answer: Labella touch up It's difficult to tell from the pictures... are you furrowing your brow? If so and the botox was done within the last 2 weeks- I'd wait and see what we get at the end of 2 weeks post injection. If you still have static vertical lines that bother you then fillers is your go to. This area is notorious for intravascular injections so make sure you go to a specialist with experience. Good luck and God Bless! Dr. Robb

Answer: Fillers may be considered for softening glabellar wrinkles. The injections to glabellar lines need to be performed superficially and carefully to avoid visible filler, or vascular issues. Improvement in this area may be subtle. You may wish to consider browlifting for a more definitive improvement. Hope this helps. Dr Joseph

Answer: How to fix static glabellar frown lines after 70 units of Botox? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. I see your lack of improvement with Botox despite appropriate dosing, and though fillers can safely be used to improve your frown line appearance, I would try a different neuromodulator first to seek improvement. Though Dysport and Xeomin work similarly to Botox they may be a better treatment option for your dynamic wrinkling. Once paralysis of your glabellar muscles is obtained then seek out filler use for further improvement. Hope this helps.

Answer: Unfortunately, if the lines you are experiencing exist at rest then Botox will not help Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, if the lines you are experiencing exist at rest then Botox will not help. Only a dermal filler will help fill in this area. This is a very risky area to inject a filler as there is a risk of stroke or blindness. If this acceptable to you then please seek out an expert injector in your area to have a consultation and determine the best treatment plan for you. Best of Luck!
