I had juvederm filler put into my nose 3 days ago. Will this swelling even out? (Photo)

Question

I got filler put into my nose to even out a slightly asymetric nose job. Now it looks a thousand times worse and is completely crooked. At this point I'm scared that my nose is going to stay lopsided like this. Is it normal for juvaderm to swell for this longn or is this my permanent result?

Thank you for your question and photos.  It is quite normal to have some minimal swelling after juvederm injections, though it is difficult to ascertain the degree of swelling without a "before" photo.  Please make sure to follow up with your surgeon, I'm sure their office would be happy to answer any questions you may have.  The good new is that if you continue to not be happy with your result, the Juvederm can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.  If you still have remaining questions, please seek a second opinion consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist.  Best wishes.

Swelling typically resolves by 2 weeks. If you continue to have significant swelling after 2 weeks, I would advise you to consult your treating physician.

Hi.  Not to worry - you are at the peak of your post-injection swelling.  It won't stay like that.  Follow up with your injector in 10-14 days to see how things look at that point.  Hang in there!

Hi Kayana. It would help to see some before photos as well. Generally, swelling after filler injections such as Juvederm can last for about 2 weeks. Make sure you schedule a follow-up with your injector to re-evaluate after 2 weeks. If you are still not happy with your results at that time, then the Juvederm can be dissolved using Hyaluronidase. Hope this helps answer your question.
