Is it normal to not have a sandpaper like texture after 2nd treatment of Clear + Brilliant even though I did with 1st treatment?

This is the second time I’ve had Clear + Brilliant done. The day after my first ever treatment my skin felt like sandpaper and was still a little red. With my second treatment my skin does not have any rough feeling and has barely any redness, which seems unusual since I was told they would be using a slightly higher setting the second time around.
