Why am I still nauseous and weak dizzy feeling after a week of my breast reduction?

Feeling nauseous, weak, and dizzy after a week of breast reduction surgery can be caused by several
factors. Some possible reasons include:
1. Anesthesia Effects: The lingering effects of anesthesia can sometimes last for a week or more, leading to nausea and dizziness.
2. Pain Medications: Strong pain medications, especially opioids, can cause nausea, dizziness, and a general feeling of weakness.
3. Dehydration: Post-surgery, it's common to feel dehydrated, especially if you've been avoiding drinking water due to nausea or because of discomfort.
4. Low Blood Sugar: Reduced appetite or irregular eating after surgery can lead to low blood sugar, which may make you feel weak or dizzy.
5. Infection: While less common, infection can cause systemic symptoms like nausea, weakness, and dizziness. Check for signs like fever, redness, swelling, or unusual discharge around your incision.
6. Anemia: Blood loss during surgery can sometimes lead to a mild anemia, which can cause fatigue and dizziness.

It’s best to consult your plastic surgeon or healthcare provider to rule out any complications and discuss how you're feeling. They can assess whether these symptoms are normal or if there might be something more serious going on.

Having nausea and light headedness a week after surgery is not normal. You should speak to your surgeon and/or be seen in person.
