I want a more structured jawline.I now have more fat along that area as well as a slight double chin. It’s not very visible from the front as it as my side profile now. It makes my chin look less prominent and it’s something small but bothers me in photos. I’m interested in kybella but have also seen some patients who inject voluma in the chin and it seems to balance the face out . Any suggestions I should take into consideration before I make a decision?
Answer: Kybella Dear lyssahxo2,Kybella typically takes 3 to 5 treatments to work. This is why I've stopped carrying Kybella in my office. I recommend neck liposuction more often then any injectable procedure for the neck now. It provides superior results gives me more control over the area than any injectable. It also costs about the same as what you paid for your first kybella session. The liposuction can be done under local while awake in the office and recovery is about the same as kybella.Daniel Barrett, MD Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Plastic Surgery Member, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery

Answer: Kybella or Voluma Thank you for your question. For a more structured jaw line, Voluma can definitely enhance your look. Ultimately, an in-office consultation is needed to discuss which product and amount is best for you. Best regards!

Answer: Kybella Results--add Thermage, Ultherapy, Exilis, VASER, ThermiRF, J Plasma / Renuvion, Inmode BodyTite It takes a series of treatments to get good results with Kybella. Keep in mind, Kybella is good for dissolving the submental fat under the chin area while contouring the jawline and making the chin more defined, but a combination approach is needed to get the most improvement with non-invasive options. I recommend a combination approach with Thermage, Ultherapy, and Exilis. VASER liposuction in combination with ThermiRF is the best alternative for contouring the chin area. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Kybella or Volume The treatment options that are best for jawline contouring include Kybella, Filler, and Botox Masseter Reduction. In regards to the fullness at the front of your face and under chin, Kybella should be the primary treatment for fat reduction and changing your side profile. Faces that are in circle or square shape can benefit from Botox injections in the Masseter muscle. This treatment can provide a narrowed, streamlined look that can enhance the angular profiles of the face. Faces that are already narrow- such as oval or heart shapes- will benefit from facial fillers along the jawline. Filler injectables can enhance the structural line of the jawline. I personally like Restylane Defyne or Lyft for these areas. Because I don't have a picture of the front profile of your face, it is hard to assess which treatments will be best for you. I would suggest seeking in-person consultation with an experienced Facial Plastics injector who has through understanding of facial shape and anatomy.Best, Dr. Anil Shah
