Depending on what your concerns are, PRP can be beneficial both injected and microneedled into the skin. Injecting it will get the plasma deeper into the skin and is great for lines and wrinkles. However, not everyone needs the plasma injected. It's best to discuss your concerns with your provider.Best of luck!
You will get the best results if you microneedle the skin and then inject AND apply the PRP topically. If the treatment is being performed by an aesthetician, you may not have the option to have it injected because they are not licensed to inject. The classic Vampire Facial does not include injections and you will still get great results, but the results will be more significant if the PRP is injected as well as applied topically. Injecting the PRP without microneedling will not be as effective because the microneedling treatment inflames the skin causing the platelets to become activated when injected into the skin post needling.
Hi, thanks for the great question. It's hard to answer this question without knowing what condition is being addressed. Both approaches have their strengths and best for different conditions. Micro needling with PRP (Vampire Facial) is great for skin color, texture, pigmentation, redness and acne scars/ and scars. Injected PRP is better for building up volume in areas like the cheeks, smile lines and tear troughs especially when added with filler like Juvederm (Vampire Facelift). Sometimes a combination of the two will meet most goals. Thanks for asking
The answer to your question depends on the purpose of the treatment. If you are seeking volume, it is better to inject the PRP and perhaps add some filler as a scaffolding. If you are seeking treatment for acne scars or keloids a combination of both may be beneficial. In a young person with healthy appearing skin seeking a healthier glow, microneedling with topical PRP application may be adequate.
Thank you for your question. There are a number of ways to approach PRP to the face and the answer depends on your goals. To answer your question though, PRP injections, micro needling, and topical application all together provide the best results in our practice. Make sure you see the appropriate provider that has the ability to inject as well as microneedle.
Great question!Vampire facelift injects the prp and two vials of filler in to the face for volume and definition.Vampire facial is microneedling and prp on the surface. Both help the skin from different perspectives. Both are good.Best. Dr Brecht Seattle, Wa
