Botox can be used to treat the entire masseter to decrease its size and thereby slim the jawline, which can be done by injecting several points of the muscle. The masseter muscles are very strong and it can take anywhere from 2-7 weeks to start seeing results. These are usually spaced at 3 months apart. In addition, fillers can be used to elongate the chin and create the illusion of a longer, V shaped face. There are a number of other procedures which can also be used to create the V shaped look such as chin fillers and even a face lift. This all depends on the patient's prior appearance, so an in person consultation would be needed.
Thank you for your post. If what you are referring to as a "V" shape is a more contoured look based on the Golden Ratio, you can use filler and Botox in combination to achieve the results you are desiring. Botox can be injected into the masseter muscle which will cause the muscle to relax and, in time, decrease in size if an enlarged masseter muscle is present causing the jaw to have a more "blocky" appearance. In addition, fillers can be used in the cheeks to add volume and further contour the face. It's best to have a thorough in person consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss all of your treatment options. In my experience injecting Botox or other neurotoxins into the masseters causes a small amount laxity, sagging on the lateral [ outer ] jaw line. The effect is temporary and last about 2 to 3 months. The injection will not really change what can be treated with the chin...
Thanks for the detailed question. Everyone heals at a different pace, but it's best to wait for all the bruising and swelling to go down after a fat transfer to the face. Anywhere between 3-4 weeks should be fine. Botox works on the muscles in your face so it is best to wait until they can be c...
